1 ½ lbs ground beef (80/20)

½ cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

2 tbsp butter (for frying)

2 tbsp all-purpose flour (for gravy)

2 cups beef broth

1 tbsp ketchup (optional)

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp garlic powder

Fresh thyme or parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  2. Shape mixture into 4–6 oval patties.
