Ingredients

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

½ cup Greek yogurt

1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon sugar

½ teaspoon salt

⅓ cup warm water

2 tablespoons garlic, minced

3 tablespoons butter or ghee, melted

1 tablespoon fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped


Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

2. Add Greek yogurt and warm water. Stir until a rough dough forms.

3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.

4. Cover and rest the dough for 1 hour.

5. While dough rests, sauté garlic in melted butter or ghee until fragrant. Set aside.

6. Divide rested dough into 6 equal pieces and roll each into an oval shape.

7. Cook naan on a hot skillet 1-2 minutes per side until golden with bubbles.

8. Brush cooked naan with garlic butter and sprinkle with parsley or cilantro.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix a bit of chopped garlic right into the dough.

Naan reheats best on a dry skillet or wrapped in foil in the oven.
