Description

Banana Caramel Nut Cheesecake is the kind of dessert that instantly feels special from the first slice. The creamy baked cheesecake filling is blended with ripe bananas for a smooth, rich texture, then finished with buttery caramel sauce, fresh banana slices, and crunchy nuts for the ultimate sweet finish. It is a perfect easy dessert recipe for holidays, family gatherings, dinner parties, and anyone searching for cheesecake ideas, banana dessert ideas, easy baking recipes, comfort food desserts, and showstopping homemade treats.

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

24 ounces cream cheese, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup sour cream

3 large eggs

1 cup mashed ripe bananas

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup caramel sauce, plus more for serving if desired

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

1 banana, sliced for topping

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and lightly grease a 9-inch springform pan.

2. Mix the graham cracker crumbs with the melted butter until the mixture looks like wet sand.

3. Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.

4. Beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.

5. Add the sugar and sour cream, then mix until fully combined.

6. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition.

7. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract until just combined.

8. Pour the filling over the crust and smooth the top.

9. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, until the edges are set and the center still jiggles slightly.

10. Turn off the oven, crack the door, and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.

11. Remove from the oven and chill in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or overnight.

12. Before serving, spoon caramel sauce over the top and finish with chopped nuts and banana slices.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter after adding the eggs, or the cheesecake can bake up with too much air and crack as it cools.
