Ingredients
4 slices Cuban or Italian bread
3 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
4 slices Swiss cheese
6 slices deli ham
6 pickle slices
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until well blended.
2. Slice the bread lengthwise and spread mustard on the inside of each half.
3. Layer 1 slice of Swiss, then 3 slices of ham, pickles, and another slice of Swiss on the bottom half. Top with the other bread slice.
4. Spread the garlic butter mixture on the outer sides of the sandwich.
5. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Press the sandwich down with a heavy skillet or sandwich press.
6. Grill for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted.
7. Let rest for 1 minute before slicing and serving.
