Ingredients

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 (14 oz) can dulce de leche

1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

1/2 teaspoon sea salt (optional, for balance)

Additional dulce de leche for drizzling (optional)


Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat. Continue cooking, swirling occasionally, until it turns deep golden and smells nutty.
  2. Lower heat and stir in the dulce de leche. Mix well.
  3. Add marshmallows and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and fold in the Rice Krispies until evenly coated.
  5. Press mixture into a greased or parchment-lined 9×13-inch pan. Don’t pack too tightly.
  6. Let cool for 30 minutes. Slice into squares and drizzle with extra dulce de leche if desired.
