Ingredients

1 lb elbow macaroni or rotini pasta

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb Italian sausage (casings removed)

2 cups marinara or pizza sauce

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2025 pepperoni slices

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil for sautéing

Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook ground beef and Italian sausage until browned. Season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, marinara sauce, meat mixture, and half the mozzarella.
  5. Spread mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Top with remaining mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and pepperoni slices.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for 2–3 minutes if desired for crispier top.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve.
