Ingredients

2 sheets puff pastry thawed

6 cups thinly sliced Granny Smith apples

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar packed

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

3 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons unsalted butter diced

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons milk


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

2. Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples.

3. Combine apples, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch. Let sit 10 minutes.

4. Roll out first sheet of puff pastry into pan.

5. Spread apple mixture evenly over pastry.

6. Dot apples with butter.

7. Place second pastry sheet on top and seal edges. Cut small slits.

8. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown.

9. Cool slightly.
