Ingredients

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

8 ounces fettuccine pasta

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon salt

0.5 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook for 6–7 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

2. In a large pot, boil fettuccine in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.

3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.

4. Add parmesan cheese and whisk until smooth and creamy.

5. Toss the cooked fettuccine in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed for consistency.

6. Slice the rested chicken and place on top of the pasta.

7. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra parmesan if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Use freshly grated parmesan for the best melting and flavor.

Don’t skip the pasta water—it helps the sauce cling to the noodles beautifully.
