Ingredients

6 Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes

2 cups cold milk

1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed

Optional: red and green food coloring

1 cup strawberries or raspberry preserves

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes. Chill until thickened.

2. Slice the Christmas Tree Cakes horizontally into thinner layers. Set aside a few for decorating.

3. In a trifle dish, layer pudding, sliced cakes, and whipped topping. Repeat the layers.

4. Add red and green food coloring to layers if desired, and sprinkle festive sprinkles in between.

5. Include strawberries or preserves for fruity contrast.

6. Top with whipped topping, more sprinkles, powdered sugar, and reserved cakes.

7. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Use fresh strawberries if available for a brighter flavor.

Let the trifle chill longer for deeper flavor blending and better structure.
