Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings

1/2 cup unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and season with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.

2. Preheat oven to 400°F, or air fryer to 380°F, or prepare grill on medium-high heat.

3. Bake for 40-45 minutes, air-fry for 25-30 minutes, or grill for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through.

4. While wings cook, melt butter in a saucepan. Add garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, cayenne, paprika, parsley, and thyme. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.

5. Once wings are done, place in a large bowl and toss with the warm cowboy butter sauce.

6. Garnish with fresh parsley or Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Drying the wings thoroughly before cooking helps achieve extra crispiness.

The cowboy butter sauce can be made ahead and refrigerated, then reheated gently before tossing with wings.
