Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (skin on or off)

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

2 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or dill

Lemon slices (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear salmon for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. Lower heat to medium and melt butter in the same skillet.
  5. Sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Add heavy cream, broth, lemon juice, zest, and Dijon mustard.
  7. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. Stir in Parmesan and fresh herbs; season to taste.
  9. Return salmon to skillet, spoon sauce over fillets, and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  10. Garnish with lemon slices and more herbs. Serve hot.
