Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1⁄2 pound Italian sausage
20 slices pepperoni
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup pizza sauce or marinara
1⁄4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 deep dish pie crust
1 egg beaten (optional for brushing crust)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a deep-dish pie pan and set aside.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage until browned. Drain excess grease and season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on the bottom of the crust. Add a layer of cooked meat, then mozzarella. Repeat layers and top with pepperoni and parmesan.
4. Brush the crust edge with the beaten egg if using.
5. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
6. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
