Ingredients
12 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 bay leaf
3 egg yolks
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Peel the garlic cloves and sauté them in butter over medium heat until golden and fragrant.
2. Sprinkle in the flour and stir constantly for about 1 minute to create a light roux.
3. Gradually whisk in the broth, then add thyme and bay leaf. Simmer for 20 minutes.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks and cream together.
