Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp dried sage

1/2 tsp dried thyme

1 tsp smoked paprika

1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

3/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper


Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, stir together the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, dried sage, dried thyme, smoked paprika, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.

2. Add the ground turkey and olive oil to the bowl.

3. Gently mix until the seasonings are evenly combined with the turkey, being careful not to overwork the meat.

4. Shape the mixture into 8 small patties, or leave it loose if you want crumbled sausage.

5. Heat a skillet over medium heat.

6. Cook the patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side, or cook the crumbled turkey sausage while breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked through.
