Ingredients

4 large egg whites (room temperature)

1 cup granulated sugar

3 tablespoons Jello powder (strawberry or preferred flavor)

1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/8 teaspoon fine salt


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment or silicone mats.

2. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar and salt until foamy.

3. Add sugar gradually, beating to glossy stiff peaks with sugar fully dissolved.

4. Beat in Jello powder until evenly tinted and thick.

5. Pipe or spoon 1‑inch mounds onto prepared sheets.

6. Bake 1 hour 30 minutes until dry; turn oven off, crack door, and cool inside.

7. Cool completely; store airtight up to 5 days.

Notes

If cookies soften, re‑crisp at 200°F for 10–15 minutes, then cool in the oven.

Use 1–2 Tbsp Jello for lighter color; 3 Tbsp for bolder flavor.
