Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (or lamb)
1 cup frozen peas and carrots
1/2 cup frozen corn
1/2 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
4 cups mashed potatoes
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
2 tbsp chopped parsley (garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onions and garlic; sauté until soft.
- Stir in tomato paste, then add peas, carrots, corn, broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer 5–7 mins.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the beef mixture in a baking dish.
- Top evenly with mashed potatoes.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top (optional).
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden.
