Ingredients
1 1/2 cups eggnog
1/2 cup whole milk
1 packet unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
1 cup fresh cranberries
2 tablespoons orange liqueur
1 teaspoon orange zest
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons sugar (for cranberry sauce)
Instructions
1. Sprinkle gelatin over cold milk and let bloom for 5–10 minutes.
2. In a saucepan, heat eggnog, sugar, and vanilla paste until steaming. Do not boil.
3. Remove from heat, whisk in gelatin until fully dissolved.
4. Pour mixture into serving glasses. Cool slightly, then chill 4+ hours.
5. Simmer cranberries, water, sugar, orange zest, and liqueur until thickened. Cool.
6. Spoon cranberry sauce over panna cotta before serving. Garnish if desired.
Notes
For a stronger eggnog flavor, use homemade or high-fat store-bought versions.
Don’t add cranberry sauce too early or it may bleed into the custard layer.
