Ingredients

1 1/2 cups eggnog

8 ounces mascarpone cheese

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

3/4 cup strong brewed espresso or coffee, cooled

2 tablespoons coffee liqueur

18 ladyfingers

1 cup whipped cream

1 tablespoon cocoa powder


Instructions

1. In a large bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and ground nutmeg until smooth and creamy.

2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form.

3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, then slowly fold in the eggnog until fully combined and fluffy.

4. In a shallow bowl, stir together the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur.

5. Break the ladyfingers as needed to fit your serving cups. Dip each piece quickly into the coffee mixture.

6. Place a layer of dipped ladyfingers into the bottom of each cup.

7. Spoon or pipe a layer of the eggnog cream filling over the ladyfingers.

8. Repeat the layers until the cups are filled, finishing with the cream layer on top.

9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best texture.

10. Before serving, top with whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder.

Notes

Do not soak the ladyfingers too long in the coffee mixture or they can turn mushy and make the layers too wet.
