Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 cup long-grain white rice, uncooked

2 ½ cups beef broth

1 can (10.5 oz) condensed French onion soup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

½ teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked beef, uncooked rice, beef broth, French onion soup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 50–55 minutes.
  6. Remove foil, top with shredded cheese if desired, and bake uncovered for 5–10 more minutes until cheese melts.
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
