Ingredients

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

2 cups broccoli florets

1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

2 green onions, chopped (optional)

1/4 cup chicken broth or water

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked white rice, for serving


Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, toss chicken with cornstarch, soy sauce, and a bit of pepper. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and chicken broth. Set aside.
  3. Heat a large skillet or wok with vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds. Add broccoli and bell pepper; cook 3–4 minutes.
  5. Return chicken to the pan. Pour in sauce and stir to coat everything evenly. Cook 2 more minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve over cooked white rice. Garnish with green onions if using.
