Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
4 cups broccoli florets
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
2 green onions, sliced
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
2. Meanwhile, steam or microwave the broccoli until just tender, around 2–3 minutes.
3. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, cornstarch, and ginger. Stir until smooth.
4. Add the cooked broccoli and sauce to the beef in the skillet. Stir to coat evenly. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
5. Remove from heat. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
6. Serve hot over rice, noodles, or in lettuce wraps.
Notes
For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
Don’t overcook the broccoli—keep it vibrant and slightly crisp for the best texture.
