Ingredients

3 cups cooked shredded chicken

1 (30 oz) bag frozen hashbrowns, thawed

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 ½ cups sour cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup chopped onion (optional)

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups crushed cornflakes or butter crackers

4 tbsp melted butter

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13″ baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix soup, sour cream, cheese, garlic powder, onion, salt, and pepper.
  3. Fold in shredded chicken and hashbrowns until fully combined.
  4. Spread mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, toss crushed cornflakes with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Let cool for 5–10 minutes. Garnish with parsley if desired.
