Ingredients

1 cup Amish Friendship Bread Starter

1 cup granulated sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

2/3 cup vegetable oil

3 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup cinnamon-sugar (for pan and topping)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F and grease two 9×5-inch loaf pans. Dust with cinnamon-sugar.

2. In a large bowl, combine 1 cup starter, sugar, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

3. Stir in flour, pudding mix, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon until just combined.

4. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and sprinkle more cinnamon-sugar on top.

5. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

6. Let cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Slice and enjoy.

Notes

Use fresh, bubbly starter for best results—don’t skip feeding it.

Dusting the pan with cinnamon-sugar gives a sweet crunch that elevates every bite.
