Ingredients

1.5 lbs chicken breasts or thighs, boneless and skinless

3 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon lemon juice or rice vinegar

2 tablespoons olive oil

0.5 teaspoon salt

0.5 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

8 skewers, soaked if wooden


Instructions

1. In a large bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

2. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 4 hours.

3. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes.

4. Thread the marinated chicken evenly onto the skewers.

5. Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.

6. Grill skewers for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and charred.

7. Optional: baste with extra marinade during the final minutes for more glaze.

8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
