Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

1. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix well.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

4. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a dough forms.

5. Fold in chocolate chips and mini marshmallows evenly.

6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

7. Scoop dough by tablespoons onto the baking sheets, spacing evenly.

8. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are set but centers are soft.

9. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

10. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.

Notes

For extra gooeyness, press a few extra marshmallows on top before baking.

Don’t overbake—cookies should look slightly underdone in the center.
