Ingredients

12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)

1 lb ground beef

1 cup heavy cream

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated

1 cup beef broth

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)


Instructions

1. Cook bowtie pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Remove beef and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Stir in beef broth and scrape up any browned bits. Reduce heat and pour in heavy cream.

4. Return the beef to the skillet, add the cooked pasta, and mix in parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce is creamy and well combined. Add reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.

5. Garnish with parsley and additional parmesan. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Freshly grated parmesan melts smoother and has better flavor than pre-shredded cheese.
