Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar (plus more for rolling)

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 large egg

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

36 Hershey’s Kisses (unwrapped)

Instructions

1. Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add peanut butter and mix until combined.

3. Mix in the egg, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

5. Gradually stir the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.

6. Chill dough for 30 minutes to make shaping easier.

7. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheet with parchment.

8. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, coat in sugar, and place on sheet.

9. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are set and tops are crackled.

10. Immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.

11. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best texture, do not skip the dough chilling step—it prevents spreading at high altitudes.

Gently press kisses into cookies right after baking, but don’t push too deep or they’ll melt too much.
