Description

These Juicy Italian Meatballs are a comforting, classic dish that brings Sunday dinner straight to your table. Made with a rich blend of beef and pork, fresh herbs, garlic, parmesan, and a slow-simmered tomato sauce, they’re tender, flavorful, and totally satisfying. Whether you’re planning an easy dinner, looking for hearty food ideas, or prepping a healthy snack with protein-packed potential, these meatballs are a timeless favorite. Serve them over spaghetti, tucked into subs, or on their own—there’s no wrong way to enjoy this easy recipe.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 pound ground pork

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs

3/4 cup milk

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

2 cups crushed tomatoes or marinara sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil (for sautéing)

Instructions

1. Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil until soft and fragrant; let cool.

2. In a large bowl, combine beef, pork, eggs, milk-soaked breadcrumbs, parmesan, herbs, seasoning, and the cooled aromatics.

3. Mix gently until everything is combined; avoid overmixing.

4. Shape the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs using damp hands or a scoop.

5. Brown meatballs in a skillet over medium heat until golden on all sides.

6. Transfer browned meatballs to a pot of simmering marinara sauce.

7. Simmer for 25–30 minutes until fully cooked and tender.

8. Serve hot over pasta, in sandwiches, or on their own with extra sauce.

Notes

Make sure to sauté the onion and garlic first—raw aromatics can leave a harsh bite.

Chilling the shaped meatballs for 10–15 minutes before cooking helps them hold together better during browning.
