Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon sesame oil

2 cups cooked white rice

1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced

2 large eggs

2 tablespoons green onions, chopped

1 teaspoon sesame seeds


Instructions

1. Cook rice according to package directions until fluffy.

2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart, until no longer pink.

3. Drain excess fat, then stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Simmer for 5 minutes.

4. Drizzle in sesame oil and stir to combine.

5. In a separate pan, fry eggs sunny-side-up until whites are set but yolk remains soft.

6. To assemble, spoon rice into bowls, top with seasoned beef, cucumber slices, and egg.

7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Use lean beef to avoid excess grease and achieve better caramelization.

For extra heat, add a dash of gochujang or red pepper flakes to the sauce.
