Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak, cubed or sliced

8 oz penne pasta

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

2 tbsp honey

3 tbsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp olive oil

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups water or beef broth (for pasta)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, bring 2 cups water or beef broth to a boil. Add pasta and a pinch of salt. Cook until al dente and liquid is mostly absorbed. Set pasta aside.
  2. Season steak pieces with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in the same pan and sear steak until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower heat to medium and melt butter in the pan. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in honey and let it bubble slightly. Add cream and parmesan. Simmer until sauce thickens.
  5. Return pasta to the pan and coat well in the sauce. Simmer briefly.
  6. Add steak back to the pan, spoon sauce over top, and garnish with parsley. Serve hot.
