Ingredients
1 lb penne pasta
2 tbsp olive oil
2 chicken breasts, diced
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Fresh chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced chicken, season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and mostly cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Add sausage to the same pan and sear until golden. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Whisk in ranch seasoning and bring to a simmer.
- Add uncooked pasta, stir, and cover. Let it simmer over medium-low heat for 12–14 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once pasta is tender, return chicken and sausage to the pan. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
- Let the dish sit for 1–2 minutes off heat to thicken. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
