Ingredients

1 lb penne pasta

1/2 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into strips

1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp butter

1 small onion, diced

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1/2 cup beef broth

1/2 cup BBQ sauce

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook the penne in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pot. Season steak with salt, pepper, and half the Cajun seasoning. Sear for 2–3 minutes per side, then remove.
  3. Sear the sausage slices until browned, then remove and set aside.
  4. Lower heat to medium. Melt butter and sauté diced onion until soft. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Stir in smoked paprika and remaining Cajun seasoning.
  6. Add beef broth to deglaze the pot. Stir in heavy cream and BBQ sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Add pasta, steak, and sausage back into the pot. Stir in Parmesan and cook 2–3 more minutes.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
