Whether it’s for game day, weekend splurges, or party trays, this easy recipe turns fries into a fully loaded meal. With its mix of gooey cheese, savory steak, and crispy edges, it’s one of the best food ideas when you need something indulgent and satisfying. Great for quick dinners, party snacks, or easy recipes that please a crowd.

Ingredients

2 pounds ribeye steak, thinly sliced

28 ounces French fries, frozen or homemade

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 yellow onion, sliced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1/2 cup cheese sauce (optional)

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

1. Bake or fry French fries until golden and crispy; spread on oven-safe tray.

2. In a skillet with olive oil, sauté peppers and onions until softened, about 7–8 minutes. Set aside.

3. Increase skillet heat to high and sear ribeye slices with salt and pepper for 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat.

4. Layer fries with steak, peppers, onions, provolone, and cheese sauce if using.

5. Broil or bake at 400°F for 2–3 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Use a cast iron skillet for broiling to keep everything hot and crisp.

Swap provolone for mozzarella or pepper jack if you want a cheese switch-up.
