Description

Golden, fluffy, and brushed with plenty of buttery garlic flavor, this Pull Apart Garlic Bread Wreath is the kind of easy recipe that instantly makes the table feel special. It is perfect for holiday appetizers, game day snacks, pasta night, and crowd-pleasing food ideas when you want something cozy and shareable. Each soft roll pulls apart beautifully and tastes even better dipped into warm marinara, making it one of my favorite easy dinner sides, party breads, and savory baking recipes.

Ingredients

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup warm milk

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 large egg

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup warm marinara sauce

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the warm milk, active dry yeast, and granulated sugar. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy.

2. Add the salt, egg, melted butter, and olive oil. Mix well.

3. Add the flour gradually, stirring until a soft dough forms.

4. Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

5. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

6. Line a large baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper.

7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 18 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a smooth ball.

8. Arrange the dough balls in a wreath shape on the prepared pan, leaving an open circle in the center for the marinara bowl after baking.

9. Cover loosely and let the shaped wreath rise again for 20 to 30 minutes.

10. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

11. Bake the wreath for 20 to 24 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

12. While the bread bakes, stir together the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and Italian seasoning.

13. Brush the hot bread generously with the garlic butter mixture.

14. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top.

15. Place warm marinara sauce in the center and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not add too much extra flour while kneading, or the dough can turn heavy instead of baking up soft and fluffy.
