Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup white sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy and well combined.

2. Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

4. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a dough forms.

5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and Rice Krispies until evenly mixed.

6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.

7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes until the edges turn golden.

8. Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

For an extra flavor twist, sprinkle sea salt on top before baking.

Make sure not to overmix once you add the Rice Krispies to keep the crunch.
