Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cups cabbage, finely shredded

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 to cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

1 tbsp olive oil or butter for sautéing

Optional: 1 egg for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter. Sauté onion for 2–3 minutes until translucent.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Mix in cabbage, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 5–7 minutes until cabbage is soft. Remove from heat.
  5. Press half the crescent dough into the baking dish to form a bottom crust.
  6. Spoon the beef and cabbage mixture evenly over the dough.
  7. Top with shredded cheese.
  8. Place the remaining crescent dough on top, sealing the edges.
  9. Brush with egg wash for a golden finish (optional).
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes before slicing.
