Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef

1 cup breadcrumbs

2 eggs

1/2 cup milk

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup onion, finely chopped

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)

1 cup marinara sauce

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, garlic, onion, and Italian seasoning until just combined.

3. On the parchment, shape the meat mixture into a rectangle.

4. Place 1 cup of mozzarella in the center, then fold the edges over to form a loaf, sealing the cheese inside.

5. Bake for 40 minutes.

6. Remove from oven, top with marinara sauce and remaining mozzarella.

7. Return to oven and bake for another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.

8. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
