2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup tomato sauce

1/2 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon sugar

8 ounces pasta, cooked al dente

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

2. Add onion and bell pepper, cook until soft. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

3. Mix in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire, paprika, salt, pepper, and sugar. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.

4. Stir in cooked pasta and coat with the sloppy joe sauce.

5. Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

6. Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

7. Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

8. Garnish with parsley before serving, if desired.

Notes

This casserole is a great freezer-friendly meal—just freeze before baking and add 10 extra minutes when ready to bake.

Want a smoky kick? Add a dash of smoked paprika or chipotle powder to the sauce.
