Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 large egg

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

8 slices mozzarella cheese or 1 cup shredded

16 black olive slices

12 oz spaghetti

3 cups marinara sauce

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Shape into golf ball-sized meatballs.

2. Bake the meatballs on a parchment-lined tray at 400°F for 18–20 minutes.

3. Cook spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Drain and toss with marinara sauce.

4. Top each cooked meatball with mozzarella and return to oven for 2–3 minutes until melted.

5. Add black olive slices as eyes on the melted cheese to make monster faces.

6. Serve meatballs on a nest of spaghetti, letting them peek through the noodles.

Notes

Use shredded mozzarella for a stringier ghost-like melt.

You can prep meatballs ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
