Ingredients
1 box vanilla cake mix (for two 9-inch layers)
24 ounces cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
24 golden Oreos
1 cup freeze-dried strawberries
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup sliced fresh strawberries (optional)
Instructions
1. Bake vanilla cake layers in two 9-inch pans according to package instructions. Let cool completely.
2. Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Pour into a springform pan and bake at 325°F for 45–50 minutes. Chill completely.
3. Pulse Oreos and freeze-dried strawberries into crumbs. Add melted butter to form crumble. Toast lightly if desired.
4. Layer one vanilla cake round, then cheesecake, optional whipped cream and strawberries, and top with the second vanilla cake.
5. Frost the cake with whipped cream and press the strawberry crumble onto sides and top.
6. Chill the whole cake for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
