Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 medium onion, finely diced

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

8 slices of thick sandwich bread

4 tbsp butter, softened

Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onions until browned and tender. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let simmer 2 more minutes.
  3. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  4. On unbuttered sides, layer cheddar and mozzarella, then spoon beef mixture on top. Add more cheese and finish with another slice of bread.
  5. Heat skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  6. Slice, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
