Ingredients
8 ounces fettuccine pasta
1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
8 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed
1/4 cup reserved pasta water
2 tablespoons grated parmesan (for garnish)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add fettuccine and cook until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2. Season steak bites with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
3. Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
4. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add Velveeta cubes and stir until fully melted and smooth.
5. Add fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat in the cheese sauce. Use reserved pasta water as needed to thin.
6. Plate the pasta, top with steak bites, and garnish with parmesan and parsley.
