Ingredients

4 cups Rice Chex cereal

4 cups Corn Chex cereal

2 cups pretzel sticks

1 cup caramel squares, chopped

½ cup unsalted butter

½ cup brown sugar

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in brown sugar. Let it come to a light boil and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

2. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract and baking soda.

3. In a large mixing bowl, combine Chex cereals and pretzels. Pour the caramel mixture over and toss gently to coat.

4. Spread the coated mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

5. Bake at 250°F for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.

6. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon.

7. Once the mix is out of the oven and still warm, sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar blend over it and toss to coat evenly.

8. Let it cool completely, then mix in the chopped caramel squares.

9. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Make sure to stir the mix during baking to prevent clumping and ensure even coating.

For an extra twist, add a handful of mini marshmallows after cooling.
