Ingredients

1 cup warm whole milk

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

1/4 cup granulated sugar

3 1/2 cups bread flour

1 teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (plus more for brushing)


Instructions

1. Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl and let sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and eggs. Add yeast mixture and mix to form dough.

5. Punch down dough, divide into 12–16 portions, and shape into balls.

6. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30–45 minutes.
