Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
3 cups marinara sauce
1 ½ cups ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
9 sheets oven-ready lasagna noodles
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain excess fat.
3. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
4. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a small amount of meat sauce.
5. Layer noodles, then dollops of ricotta, a layer of meat sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
6. Top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan.
7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
8. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
9. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, use half ground beef and half Italian sausage.
Letting the lasagna rest before slicing helps maintain clean layers.
