  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 3 cups seafood stock
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 12 pieces mussels, cleaned
  • 8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 pieces sea scallops
  • 8 ounces white fish (cod or halibut), cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • crusty bread for serving

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft and fragrant.
  • Pour in white wine, scraping the bottom of the pot. Add crushed tomatoes, seafood stock, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add mussels and cook for 5 minutes. Add shrimp, scallops, and white fish; simmer gently for 5–7 minutes until cooked through.
  • Stir in parsley and basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot with crusty bread.

Notes

Use the freshest seafood available for the best flavor. Avoid overcooking the seafood to keep it tender.
