This page describes how content on savorqueen.com is chosen, produced, checked and kept up to date. It applies to every recipe, pattern and project on the site.
What gets published
Topics are chosen from what readers search for, ask about in comments and save on Pinterest, balanced with the seasons and the classic recipes every home cook wants to get right. The site covers recipes (dinner, desserts, appetizers and breakfast), crochet patterns and DIY crafts. It does not publish content outside those subjects to chase traffic.
Testing
No recipe is published until it has been cooked as written, with measured amounts, timed steps and a note of what the result looked and tasted like. Crochet patterns are worked up from the written instructions and the stitch counts are checked row by row. DIY projects are built as photographed. When a test fails, the post is rewritten and tested again or dropped.
Writing standards
- The recipe card, with ingredients, steps, times and servings, is near the top of every recipe and reachable with the Jump to Recipe button.
- Patterns list the yarn weight, hook, gauge, finished size and abbreviations before the first row.
- Instructions use plain words, standard measurements and the tips that make the difference, not filler.
- Photos show the real result of the tested version, not a styled stand-in.
Credit and originality
Original content is written for the site and not copied from elsewhere. When a post features work by another creator, the creator is named and linked and only a preview image is used. Readers who spot missing or wrong credit can report it through the Contact page; see the Copyright & DMCA page for details.
Corrections and updates
Reader reports of errors are read and answered. When a correction is needed the post is retested where necessary and updated, and the modified date on the post changes. Older posts are reviewed periodically and refreshed when ingredients, equipment or techniques have moved on.
Advertising and affiliate relationships
Savor Queen is funded by display advertising and by affiliate links that are disclosed on the pages that use them. Advertisers do not see content before it is published and have no say in what is tested, written or recommended. Sponsored content, if ever published, is clearly labelled.
Use of tools
Interactive calculators on the Tools page run in your browser; the “What can I cook tonight” helper sends only the ingredients you type to an AI model to suggest ideas and does not store them. Every recipe and pattern on the site is written and tested by people.
