What Savor Queen is
Savor Queen is a home-cooking and craft site built around one promise: everything here is written clearly enough to follow the first time. The recipe section is the heart of the site, with more than a thousand recipes for dinner, desserts, appetizers and breakfast. Alongside the kitchen you will find free Crochet Patterns and simple DIY Crafts, written in the same plain, step-by-step style.
The site is run as a brand rather than a personal blog. There is no life story to scroll past and no newsletter pop-up between you and the ingredients. The recipe card sits near the top of every recipe, the Jump to Recipe button takes you straight there, and the photos show the finished dish.
How recipes are written
Every recipe is written for standard home equipment and supermarket ingredients, with measured amounts. Times, temperatures and yields are stated on every recipe. When something is fiddly or easy to get wrong, the recipe says so and explains how to fix it. Recipes that need unusual equipment or a special trip to a specialty store do not make the cut.
Readers help too. Comments and emails that report a problem are read, and when a recipe needs a correction it is updated. The date on each post shows when it was last changed.
Crochet patterns and DIY projects
Crochet patterns list the yarn, hook, gauge and abbreviations up front, with stitch counts for every row. Each pattern lists the yarn weight, hook size, gauge, finished size and abbreviations before the first row, so you know what you are getting into before you buy yarn. DIY projects come with the photos, materials list and steps you need, with a materials list and the small tips that make the difference between a project that works and one that ends up in a drawer.
When a post rounds up patterns or projects from other designers, each one is credited and linked to the original, and only the designer’s own preview image is used. Read more in the Editorial Policy and the Copyright & DMCA page.
Editorial standards
- Complete first: no recipe, pattern or project is published without full amounts, times and steps.
- Complete instructions: a printable recipe card with ingredients, steps, times and servings on every recipe; yarn, hook, gauge and abbreviations on every pattern.
- Honest results: what can go wrong, how to fix it and what to make ahead, instead of a promise that everything is foolproof.
- Clear credit: other designers’ work is always named and linked, and never republished in full.
- Transparent money: Savor Queen is supported by display advertising and, occasionally, affiliate links that are disclosed on the page. Advertisers never see a post before it is published and never influence what is published or recommended.
